AFTER CARE
Immediately after treatment, the brows will appear darker and bold but will eventually get lighter within the 2 week "peeling" period. This is because the pigment takes around seven days to enter the deeper layers of the skin. After 14 days, new skin rejuvenates itself making the brow appear softer. It takes a full 4 weeks for the skin to heal and the pigment to resurface. During this time, itching and flaking may occur and it's a sign of healing skin. Do not be alarmed.
Follow all aftercare.
Eyebrow After-Care
We want you to be in love with the results, so please follow the instructions. Failure to do so can lead to discoloration, pigment loss, and or infections.
Healing time and results will always vary due to everyone 's skin being different. Daily lifestyle, diet, facial regimen, medications, are different factors to healed results. Touchups are recommended to maintain the color and vibrancof your brows. Some clients may take longer than 14 days for peeling to complete, be patient and let it take its course. Expect for brows to fade up to 50% based on your skin type; specifically oily skin with large pores
-
Do Not get the brows wet during the healing process for 14 days.
-
Do Not put anything (water, make-up, lotions etc.) on the brows for 14 days.
-
Do Not sweat for 14 days - this is may be difficult for those who love to work out, but body heat expands the pores. Sweat has salt and will cause fading of the brows or pigment loss.
-
If you are still peeling after the 14 days still follow all instructions until peeling is complete.
-
Apply A&D ointment to the brows with the micro swab brush when needed after 48 hours. This is a dry healing process so only apply if brows are itchy, dry, and stiff. Dab gently when applying the ointment so that you dont scrape the scabs off.
-
Do Not scrub, rub, or pick at the scab/crust that forms. Allow it to flake off naturally. If its removed early, there will be pigment loss.
-
Do Not use any Retin-A or Glycolic Acids in the brow area during or after healing, this will cause discoloration/pigment loss.
-
No tanning; self tanner is ok but not on the brows.
-
Try not to sleep on your face while healing
Body Art Fine Line Tattoo:
To maintain a high quality tattoo, please follow these simple care instructions.
1. Apply a thin layer of vitamin A&D ointment or aquaphor 3 or 4 times a day. If you apply it too much, it may cause inflammation of the skin.
(I don't recommend Vaseline. It doesn't help as much with tattoo management.)
2. Avoid getting your tattoo wet for the first 24hrs.
- Before shower > Put on a light layer of ointment on the area.
- After shower > Completely wipe off the ointment and dry the area. Then
apply a thin layer of ointment again for enough moisture.
3. After about 3 days, a scab will form on the inked area. Don't pick on the scab.
This will pull out the ink from your skin. Repeat all steps daily for about a month (during this period, the scab will fall off
completely) and then, it will be fully healed.
For Saniderm (tattoo film)
PROCESS FOR REMOVING THE PROTECTIVE FILM:
The best way to remove the film is to find an edge of it, and then to pull it back over itself in the direction of hair growth. Pulling upward on the film can be painful, so we don't recommend it. The best way to try removing the film in a warm shower. The warmth willloosen the adhesive, and make it easier to remove. Always wash tattoo with CLEAN HANDS to avoid infections. Use antibacterial soap and warm water. Do not use a loofah, towel, or scrub to clean your tattoo.
Avoid:
-swimming or a hot bath
-activities that will make you sweat for 2 weeks
-drinking alcohol for 2 weeks
-wearing tight clothing around your tattoo
-sunbathing or tanning for a month
Lip Blush Pre & Post Care
Before your Appointment: Your lips cannot be dry for the appointment. If they are dry we will need to reschedule and you will forfeit your deposit. You may exfoliate 3 days before your appointment to remove any dry skin. You can use a lip scrub or create your own using a little honey and brown sugar. For the week leading up to the appointment you must moisturize your lips as much as possible (I recommend using aquaphor).
*IMPORTANT*
Cold sores are a risk of lip blush tattoo. If you have had a cold sore in the past- we advise you to go to the doctor for an anti-viral medication prior to any lip procedure, to help avoid an outbreak. Even if you have not had a cold sore before- I recommend all of my clients take L-lysine 2 weeks before the appointment and 2 weeks following the appointment to reduce the risk.
After your Appointment: Lips will feel swollen and very dry after your treatment. Apply ointment on lips several times a day. This should be done for at least 14 days post treatment. Do not allow lips to become dry. This may interfere with healed color. During the day if lips feel dry, apply a liberal amount of ointment. Just tap on skin and do not rub in.
Always use a clean Q-tip, not fingers to apply ointment to the lips area. This will reduce the risk of infection.
After lips are no longer tender to the touch they may become flaky. This is normal and is expected. Please do not pick or scratch at them. This may significantly reduce the amount pigment absorption. Avoid the sun and tanning beds pre and post procedure. Be sure to use a sun block once lips are healed. Do not use any Glycolic, Hydroxy or fruit acid products on lips. Avoid direct water pressure, pools and other bodies of water, until healed. You can resume wearing lipstick once lips are healed. Redness, swelling, tenderness, dryness are all common post treatment side effects and will dissipate in a short period of time. Avoid oily, salty, acidic foods and alcohol while healing.
Lips are a muscle and may require a touch-up session to complete the process of this procedure. Lips are unpredictable. Some clients will yield very strong healed lip color. Others will only heal with slight color uptake. This will vary on an individual basis. Clients with sun damage, scar tissue (from injury or fever blisters) and clients with implants may not have strong results. Hyperpigmentation can happen on any lip client without warning. If you have a history of Fever Blisters, Cold Sores or Chicken Pox, we advise you to go to the doctor or for an anti-viral medication prior to any lip procedure, to help avoid an outbreak. Follow all before and after instructions after all lip treatments. Lip retouch must be scheduled 30 to 45 days apart from initial season to help with color retention.
Lips heal in three stages: Too dark - Too light - Just right. This takes one month to happen. Please avoid any friction to lip area.
